The Hills Club was estabislhed in 1959. TO BE RESEARCHED. 59 - 1999.
- Hills seniors was back up and running with James Lovely getting a group of mates together most of who were former Juniors to play in the Meldrum Cup - 6th Div , the team were competitive and just miss out on Semi Finals as they finished fifth. James and girlfriend Julie were heading off around Australia on a working holiday with club in need for somebody to keep the good work going.
- Craig Brinnand took over, with players being committed to work and other things the club lost alot of players, but on the round about picked up many new players, so come the first round against Roseville we had 17 reserves. The club won 3 games all year finishing second last on the ladder. After a while players began to drop off as they were looking for more than half a game. By season end 23 players were just playing for the love of the game and most would attend after match and generally just having a good time. The club was very social and this would see the 1st appointment of Club Captain Gary Pethybridge.
- saw the club promoted to 5th Div Jeffery & Noice Cups, the concern here was being competitive and keeping the players happy as the group got bigger. 1st Grade was still in the hands of Craig Brinnand and 2nd grade Captain / Coach Gary Pethybridge. 1st Grade loss their first 5 games in row then followed by a flurry with 11 wins, just missing out on Semi's due to a NSWSRU decision that still hurts today due to Burraneer forfieting,(Thankfully the rule has been changed now). 2nd Grade made the Minor Semi going down to Appin. Everybody was happy with the club's effort in our first year in a higher grade.
- more players join the club this year and while we were fielding our normal two grades we on seven occassions fielded Halligan Cups teams. Once again we were a competitive club with 1st Grade winning the Major Semi and advancing to the Grandfinal. The Grandfinal saw Bankstown us narrowly beaten 20 - 22 in extra time. 2nd Grade again did well getting to the Minor Semi this time meeting a red hot Burraneer team that spanked us. The club ran second in the club championship and Captain Peter Missio was crowned Jeffery Cup Player of the Year. With the club winning Div 5 Club of the Year. 2004. The club applied for a promotion to Div 3 but were knocked back.
- The growth still contniued with young talented players providing entertainment plus, we again were able to field Halligan Cup(4th Grade) with this team finishing 10th out of 33 other clubs. 3rd Grade in their first year got beaten 26 - 10 in the Grand Final with 2nd Grade being beaten in the Finals by evental winners Macquarie Uni 11 - 12. 1st Grade needed to win eight games in a row , the Grand Final being the 8th. They beat Bankstown 29 - 27. Hills lead 29 - 10 with 10 minutes left on the clock, This win is going to take some beating as I haven't seen a team play this well for a long time. The club also won Div 4 Club of the year, and was also voted by the juniors as club members of the year.
- saw us field 4 grade sides and a colts side who successfully won the Radford Cup in a Grand Final v Brothers after finishing Minor Premiers. Our 4th Grade side were unlucky to be beaten in the grand final by Convicts. The club this season finished 5th in the club championship.
- this seasons saw us again field 4 grades and Colts who were unlucky to not come away with a 2nd Radford Cup after sending the Grand Final into extra time against Epping. The club finished 3rd in the Club Championship of Divison 3.
- was a successful season for HRC, fielding 4 grades and Colts again in the Div 3 Competition and coming away Suburban Club of the Year, Div 3 Club of the Year, Div 3 Club Championship, Radford Cup Undefeated Premiers and Clark Cup 1st Grade Premiers. Charles Cradock was also awarded Suburban Colt of the Year and our 1st Grade Coaching Team - Suburban Coaches of the Year.
- the club has been promoted to Suburban Division 2 and sucessfully competed in this competition with 1st & 3rd Grades missing the semi finals on for & against, 2nd Grade & Colts finishing 3rd before being defeated in the final. 4th Grade finished 2nd and were triumpant on Grand final day.
- The Club entered it 2nd year in Division 2
